Transportation will also be organized along the Icherisheher–Shikh–“Sea Breeze” line during WUF13. At the same time, transportation from the airport will be carried out in a 24-hour uninterrupted mode, said Vugar Aslanov, head of the transport department of the WUF13 Azerbaijan Operating Company, at a briefing on the presentation of the transport management plan during WUF13, APA-Economics reports.

He noted that 171 electric buses have been selected for city transportation: “Of these, 155 will be main and 16 reserve buses, and transportation will be carried out from the transport interchange centers we mentioned to the event venue. In addition, 36 Neoplan-type buses will be used. These buses will ensure regular transportation from the airport to the transport interchange centers. Of them, 26 will operate as main and 10 as reserve buses. Regarding taxi services, 150 vehicles have been involved in operations by ‘Baku Taxi’. In addition, 330 individual taxi vehicles will also be used. Zero-emission electric buses, which make up the main part of our transport fleet, are part of the green transport plan.”

V. Aslanov said that the organization of transport for the Baku Olympic Stadium has already been finalized: “The stadium will function not only as an event venue, but also as a main transport hub connecting the airport, hotels, and other transport interchange centers. Our main tasks here are crowd management and ensuring the safe, uninterrupted, and efficient transportation of all guests. At the same time, the establishment of transport infrastructure within the venue and the organization of internal transportation through golf carts will also be carried out.”
