“Azerbaijan Railways” (ADY) trains operating on the Baku–Tbilisi–Baku route offer discounted and free travel options for children, ADY told APA-Economics.
Children under the age of 5 can travel free of charge provided they do not occupy a separate seat. For children aged 5 to 10, discounts of up to 50% are available depending on the travel class, date of ticket purchase, and season.
It was noted that free tickets for children under 5 must be issued mandatorily.
According to the rules, a child’s travel must be carried out on the basis of a valid passport. If a child travels with only one parent, notarized consent from the other parent is required. If the child travels with another adult without the parents, notarized consent from both parents is required.
Passengers can purchase tickets via ADY’s official website, the ADY Mobile application, and railway ticket offices.
