As part of his visit to Pakistan, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev has met with the CEO of the Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in the South (COMSATS) Mohammad Nafees Zakaria, APA-Economics reports.
The sides pointed out the long-term cooperation opportunities between the two countries in the communication and information technology fields.
During the meeting, they also discussed the implementation of a joint project with COMSATS on the training of professional ICT specialists in Azerbaijan. A Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of ICT and Technology Training Courses was signed for this purpose between the Innovation and Digital Development Agency of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport and COMSATS.
Under the Memorandum, the Pakistani trainers will launch training of ICT professionals in Azerbaijan.
It was noted that the project would make a positive contribution to the development of competitive human capital and the formation of a modern innovation environment in Azerbaijan.
