Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan Rahman Hummatov took part in the 11th meeting of transport ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) member states held in a video conference chaired by Turkey, APA-Economics reports citing the ministry.
The deputy minister informed that during the pandemic, Azerbaijan, as a reliable transit and logistics partner, ensured unimpeded transit through its territory.
Hummatov stressed the importance of the Zangazur corridor, which will diversify transport links to Europe through Turkey, as well as connect all transport corridors through Azerbaijan - both East-West and North-South.
Besides, the Deputy Minister informed about the construction work carried out in the liberated territories, the construction and commissioning of one international airport. He also added that the construction of two international airports, roads, and railways is also successfully underway.
