172 million manats invested in Aghdam Industrial Park - PHOTO

Aghdam Industrial Park plays an important role in the economic development of Aghdam and the region as a whole, in addition to being one of the country’s largest industrial zones, APA’s Karabakh bureau reports.

Entrepreneurs have invested 172 million manats in the area since the park’s establishment.

Currently, 31 enterprises operate in the industrial park as residents, while five enterprises hold non-resident status. The total investment value of the projects exceeds 321.93 million manats. Within the framework of these projects, 2,596 jobs are expected to be created. To date, more than 162.12 million manats have been invested and over 1,000 permanent jobs have been created.

It was noted that priority in the recruitment process is given to residents of Aghdam and surrounding districts, which has a significant impact on increasing employment in the region. Products manufactured in the park are sold both on the domestic market and exported abroad.

One of the enterprises operating in the industrial park is a production facility engaged in the manufacturing and assembly of railway equipment.

Nijat Ahmadov, a designer at “Rail Trans Service,” said that the enterprise is currently engaged in the production and assembly of railway equipment, particularly automation and telemechanics systems. These products make it possible to build railway infrastructure in the country in line with more modern standards, strengthen technical supply and improve systems.

Nijat Ahmadov emphasized that the enterprise is one of the few production facilities of its kind both in the country and the region and is considered among the first projects for the production of railway equipment in Azerbaijan.

According to him, more than 30 employees work at the enterprise, most of whom are former internally displaced persons from Aghdam district. The employees have had permanent jobs for nearly two years.

It was noted that employees have gained the opportunity to work in their native lands while also contributing to the production process with their knowledge and skills.

According to the information provided, some of the employees are accommodated within the factory premises, while their meals and social needs are also covered. Other employees live in Aghdam city and commute to work every day.
