Workshop on â€œCleaner Production and Energy Efficiencyâ€ held in Nakhchivan

Nakhchivan. J. Gurbanoglu â€“ APA. Workshop within the framework of â€œAzerbaijan-Norway Cleaner Production and Energy Efficiency Programâ€ was held in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Nakhchivan AR Economic Development Ministry told APAâ€™s local bureau that the aim of the workshop is to study the world practice in this field and apply to the economy.
Heads of local enterprises, scientists, engineers, technologists and economists attended the two-day workshop. Lars Tiegen, project head of Norwayâ€™s Union of Scientists and Engineers made a report on cleaner production and energy efficiency program, discussions were held with participation of specialists.
The ministry said engineers and economists will prepare new projects in the region by means of the program prepared basing on the practice of the leading countries, and they will be applied in the local enterprises. All this will increase energy efficiency in the industrial enterprises, individual, private enterprises in the autonomous republic.
â€œAzerbaijan-Norway Cleaner Production and Energy Efficiency Programâ€ is implemented in accordance with the state program on socio-economic development of regions of Azerbaijan and state program on usage of alternative and renewable energy.
