He added that it is planned to build a station near the new bus terminal.
Besides, the underground railway is slated for extension to Sumgait, Heydar Aliyev Airport and Badamdar.
He noted that Azadlig Station will open for passengers next year.
First opened in 1967, Baku Metro operates 21 stations and a depot at present.
