41 metro stations to be built in Baku in 17 years

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov â€“ APA-Economics. Baku Metro plans to construct 41 underground stations within 17 years, said Taghi Ahmadov, Chief of Baku Metro.
He added that it is planned to build a station near the new bus terminal.
Besides, the underground railway is slated for extension to Sumgait, Heydar Aliyev Airport and Badamdar.
He noted that Azadlig Station will open for passengers next year.
First opened in 1967, Baku Metro operates 21 stations and a depot at present.
