Baku. Ilhama Isabalayeva â€“ APA-Economics. AZERFON LLC (Nar MobileTM) has been recognized as Â«The Company of the YearÂ» in the sphere of telecommunications.
Within the frame of the National Award Â«The Company of yearÂ» annually held by Â«Consulting&BusinessÂ» journal on October 6, 2008 the next award-giving ceremony took place in Â«GulustanÂ» palace. The company has been honored with the National Award and recognized as the best company thanks to the big number of unique solutions, high-quality communication, the network coverage area extending day by day both in Azerbaijan and abroad, as well as numerous unique products offered to subscribers during 2008.
During the official award-giving ceremony the General Director of AZERFON LLC, Mr. Guido Helbich expressed his gratitude for the attention and appreciation for hard work done: Â«The second year of activity of AZERFON Company in the local GSM market also has turned out to be very successful for us. The strongest stimulus for a successful growth is the desire to develop. Today our company intends to take the first place among the mobile operators in Azerbaijan. We distinguish ourselves from others by offering unprecedented new products in the GSM market of AzerbaijanÂ».
Within the short period the number of subscribers trusted to the operator has dynamically increased, as well as the network coverage has considerably increased. Not the last role unique products offered by the company in the telecommunications market play among achievements owing to which AZERFON LLC was awarded the prize of the year. Among them it is necessary to point out an innovation - Tariff Plan Â«Nar Mobile TerritoryÂ» specifically developed for the people living in the regions with favourable tariffication. The new tariff plan Â«StudentÂ» also relates to the category of specifically developed products. Thanks to it students can speak just for 3 kopecks per minute. Another example - a unique product service Â«FamilyÂ» having connected to which subscribers will get an opportunity to communicate for 2 kopecks per minute. Owing to the unique and innovative services, qualitative and favourable communication offered to the population the number of subscribers of Nar Mobile intensively increases day by day. Nowadays the coverage zone of territory of the country makes 80 % and over 650 000 subscribers use the communication services provided by the company.
AZERFON was licensed â„– 001512 by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan Republic in December, 2005 to provide mobile services throughout the territory of Azerbaijan. AZERFON Company launched its commercial activities on 21st of March, 2007 under brand name Nar Mobile. The trademark Nar was created as a symbol of the relationship between Azerbaijanâ€™s rich cultural heritage and modern life. At the present, more than 650.000 subscribers use the network of Nar Mobile.
