Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. The construction of a highway from of Azizbayov Circle to Heydar Aliyev International Airport will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2008, said the Ministry of Transport.
The 13.2 km long highway runs 12-lane to the Sabunchu Circle and 8-lane onto the airport. The lanes are 3.75 meter wide each. A 97-meter overpass is being built on the road.
The highway with 27cm asphalt-concrete cover meets international standards.
The construction and reconstruction work was launched in March, 2007. the project costs $150 million in total.
