Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Volvo is showing off images and details of its face-lifted 2011 C70 convertible ahead of the car’s formal debut at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show, Edmunds reported.

Volvo Cars of North America spokesman Dan Johnston confirmed for Inside Line on Tuesday that the redesigned C70 is an early 2011 model. But he could not give a date for the convertible’s debut in North America and added that it is "way too early" for any pricing information.

In a statement, Volvo said it tried to give the four-passenger C70 a more "self-assured front end," noting that the redesign "reveals traces of the S60 concept car that was unveiled in early 2009." Details include a more wedge-shaped nose and new headlamps.

The rear end gets a modest redesign, too, with LED taillights that are similar to those on the Volvo XC60, the Swedish automaker said.

The interior gets a new instrument panel with new gauges and graphics "specific to the C70," Volvo said.

The carry-over T5 engine delivers 227 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque.

The redesigned C70 will make its North American debut at the 2009 Miami Auto Show.
