Muradov said the work would be completed on September 15. The passengers will exit at Sahil station of the Baku subway, which will operate third escalator to prevent passenger jam in the station.

The subway office will install escalators from Germanyâ€™s Tisson Group company and ventilation system produced by TLT company at the Icherisheher station.

New escalators will save 30-40% of energy.

The Baku subway office told APA-Economics the escalators will be changed at the stations Khatai, 28 May and Sahil as well in 2010.

The Baku subway has 21 stations and one depot.
