Azerbaijani scientists to join the International Nano-Technologies Center

Baku. Aynur Veliyeva – APA. The International Nano-Technologies Center for CIS leading scientists will be opened in Dubna, Russia. The issue was discussed at the information forum in Dubna organized by the Russian Federal Agency for Special Economic Zones Management, Dubna Nuclear Research Institute, Russian Kurcahtov’s Institute, CIS Intergovernmental Fund of Humanitarian Cooperation and other relevant organizations.

According to APA-Economics, the forum participants expressed their intention to make it a leading center in Europe. Nano-Technologies Center is considered as an international instrument for vital discoveries in favor of mankind. New giant accelerator – 40-km International Line Collider will be built in Dubna. Russia said it would give $1.5-2 billion of $6-8 billion expenditures of this project.
Large Hadron Collider was launched at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva last October.

Six specialists from the Azerbaijan’s Institute of Physics participate in the project which gathers the world scientists together. The organizers of the LHC project provided the new center with 320 computer and modern equipments. The computer center is headed by Physics-Mathematics Doctor, project’s representative on Dubna and Geneva Ovsat Abdinov.
