Israel stands ready to support ICT development in Azerbaijan

Baku. Aynur Veliyeva - APA-Economics. Azerbaijanâ€™s Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies has hosted a delegation led by Israeli Minister of Science and Technology Daniel Hershkovitz.

Azeri Minister Ali Abbasov said that the recent meeting between the presidents of Azerbaijan and Israel in Baku has opened grater opportunities for the development of existing relations between the two countries.

He underlined the importance of the agreement signed in the field of information and communication technologies and expressed hope for the effectiveness of sharing experience in this field.

He also briefed the guests about the East-West High-Speed Information Highway Project suggested by Azerbaijan.

The Minister expressed hope that the project will win international support and welcomed possible opinions and suggestions by Israeli colleagues on the project.

Daniel Hershkovitz said that Israel is ready to provide the necessary support to Azerbaijan in this sector, and expressed his views and suggestions on the development of future prospects.
