Azerbaijan, Korea sign a grant agreement on land cadastre project

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov - APA-Economics. Azerbaijan’s State Committee for Land and Cartography and South Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade have signed a grant agreement for a land cadastre improvement project.

Garib Mammadov, Chairman of the Committee, said that the $1.5 million project will be implemented by Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOİCA) within 18 months.

According to him, the project is slated to create a modern cadastre system and enable to study and implement a suitable methodology.

“The project envisions establishment of a cadastre information system, supply of modern technology, procurement of computers, software and special equipment, as well as development of cadastral maps by using Total Station, GPS and aerophotogrammetry,” he noted.
Korean ambassador in Baku said his country will continue to assist Azerbaijan in the field of cadastre.
