Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies holds board meeting

Baku. Aynur Valiyeva – APA – Economics. The Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies held board meeting devoted to the outcomes of the first quarter of 2009. The Ministry’s Press Service told APA-Economics that Minister Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov delivered a keynote speech and spoke about the development of non-oil sector in the country, broad opportunities for further development of new spheres of state programs under the implementation. He also noted that the East-West information corridor to be initiated by Azerbaijan, regional innovation zones, electronic signature and other huge projects would contribute to the development of the country. Highly assessing the works carried out in communications and information technologies sector in the first quarter of 2009, the minister shared his views on future perspectives.
