Toshiba presents high-end multimedia and gaming notebooks in Azerbaijan

Baku. Aynur Veliyeva â€“ APA-Economics. Toshiba has today presented its new Qosmio range of high-end multimedia and gaming notebooks in Azerbaijan through its local partner.

Toshibaâ€™s new G50 and X300 models are premium multimedia laptops encased in an impressive high-gloss and latch-less design. Created specifically for consumers who demand the highest-quality audio-visual performance, the new models provide a truly advanced home entertainment experience, delivering the best HD performance ever seen in a laptop.

Igor Yakovenka, Chairman of Toshibaâ€™s local partner Azerbaijan Electronics, said the cutting-edge notebooks are able to provide a number of premium multimedia features, such as real-time high definition video and DVD upscaling, high-performance video editing and transcoding, as well as unique hand gesture control.

Movies can be played, paused, stopped and rewound by a simple movement of the hand.

Igor Snytko, Toshiba Europe GmbHâ€™s manager for CIS and Baltic States, said Toshiba notebooks are the only ones to feature hand gesture control.

Using an integrated webcam, in-built Toshiba Gesture Control technology is able to recognize simple hand movements and rapidly translates them into commands for controlling AV features.

The result of this unique technology is the ability to control numerous multimedia applications with such simple gestures as a â€˜thumbs-upâ€™, open palm or a wave of the hand â€“ allowing you to start and stop videos or DVDs without the need for a remote control.

The Qosmio X300 is Toshibaâ€™s first-ever Qosmio gaming machine. Succeeding the Satellite X200, the Qosmio X300 takes the design of gaming laptops to a new level, thanks to its impressive â€˜Fire Sharkâ€™ exterior design theme. Red LED illumination highlights the multimedia bar, touchpad and tweeter speakers, with the bass speakers adorned in a special flame design.

Complementing the design is a specification with room for the highest-end gaming performance possible. Power is provided by IntelÂ® Centrino 2 technology with IntelÂ® Core2 Duo Extreme processors, up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM and dual Hard Disk Drives with capacity of up to 640GB.
