APC by Schneider Electric holds 50% market share in Azerbaijan

Baku. Aynur Veliyeva â€“ APA-Economics. The US-based APC by Schneider Electric holds a 50% share in Azerbaijanâ€™s uninterruptible power supplies, electronics peripherals and data center products market.
Dmitry Kirillov, General Manager for the CIS region, said the corporationâ€™s market share is 20% worldwide and about 75% in he CIS area. t
According to him, APC by Schneider Electric opened a representative office in Baku last year because of increased sales.
In 2007, Schneider Electric acquired APC and combined it with MGE UPS Systems to form Schneider Electric’s Critical Power & Cooling Services Business Unit, which recorded 2007 revenue of $3.5 billion (EUR 2.4 billion) and employed 12,000 people worldwide. Until February 2007, when it was acquired, it had been a member of the S&P 500 list of the largest publicly-traded companies in the United States. Schneider Electric, with 120,000 employees and operations in 102 countries, had 2007 annual sales of $25 billion (EUR 17.3 billion).
