Azerbaijanâ€™s Minister of Communications and Information Technologies meet with Russian ambassador

Baku. Aynur Veliyeva - APA-Economics. Azerbaijanâ€™s Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov has met with Russiaâ€™s newly appointed ambassador to Azerbaijan Vladimir Dorokhin.
The Minister talked about the government care to the ICT sector and dynamic development in this field.
He noted the importance of expending relations between Azerbaijan and Russia in the ICT sector.
The ambassador stressed the importance of cooperation in the field of information technology. He said there was steady growth in trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia.
According to the ambassador, they are closely watching the implementation of regional ICT projects in Azerbaijan.
He said that Russia wanted to see Azerbaijan as an innovative center of the Caucasus region and Central Asia, as well as the intersection of information corridors East-West and North-South.
The sides emphasized the necessity of signing intergovernmental agreements in the field of ICT.
The meeting was also attended by Russian Trade Officer in Azerbaijan Yuri Shedrin.
