Baku. Etibar Mammadov – APA. The Baku Court on Grave Crimes has resumed the trial of Rufan Aghjabeyov and Marfin Vladimir, both of whom are detained for having fought in Syria, APA reported.
During the hearing, a public prosecutor sought 15 years in jail for the two, noting that their crimes have been fully proved, APA reported.
The attorney defending the detainees asked for time to make a speech.
The process will continue on August 25.
Note that Rufan Aghjabeyov and Marfin Vladimir, both former Karabakh veterans, had been detained in an operation conducted by the then-existing Ministry of National Security.
They are charged under articles 12.1, 279.1 and 283-1.3
