The Narimanov district police department told APA that the safe containing 500,000 manats has been stolen from the official room of Munir Valiyev, the vice-rector of the university.
The investigation into the fact is underway.
Note that, Munir Valiyev is the son of MP Ahmad Valiyev, the rector of Odlar Yurdu University.
Ahmad Valiyev has confirmed the fact to APA, noting that the stolen money was a bank loan that would be the salaries of the university’s staff.
“All of those responsible are known, some have already been arrested,” said the rector.

Subhan Alakbarov, 25, is a member of a gang of four persons who are suspected of stealing a large amount of money from the university, Baku’s Narimanov district police department told APA.
The police said measures are underway to detain the other three suspects.
