Nasib Bahramov, detained by police on Dec.23, was jailed for four months. He is currently being held in the Baku detention facility.
Bahramov was one of the supporters of Taleh Baghirov. It was revealed that he made telephone calls to Taleh Baghirov several times. However, he didn’t take part in the Nardaran incident. Bahramov was previously detained for the involvement in the prosest "Freedom for hijab" held outside the ministry of education in 2012.
He faced charges under Article #214.2.1 (terrorism committed on preliminary arrangement by group of persons, by organized group or criminal community (criminal organization) and other articles of the Criminal Code.
During the operation carried out by the Interior Ministry on Nov.26, the police were fired from automatic weapons and met armed resistance, and hand grenades were thrown on them. In response to the continuous firing of the attackers, the special operation group used service weapons, killing 4 members of the gang and leaving several injured. Two police officers died.
Some 14 members of the gang, headed by their leader Taleh Bagirov, were detained.
