In 2015, 47 explosions hit the country, which is a 31 percent increase or 11 accident more compared to 2014. The explosion killed 13 people and injured 66 others, the MES told APA.
The ministry has sent firefighting teams 13,492 times to tackle the fires upon the requests made during the reporting period. The fires killed 64 people and left 170 injured. The fatalities are 8 percent or 5 people more compared to the past period and the injured are 72 percent or 71 people more in comparison.
In 2015, a total of 13,658 natural and anthropogenic accidents have occurred in the country – 21 percent of 2,370 accidents more as compared to the last year. 77 people were killed and 237 others injured in the natural and anthropogenic accidents. The ministry’s rescuers saved the lives of 208 people and evacuated 802 others.
