Baku. Shahriyar Alizadeh – APA. Nasimi Distirct Court has today continued the hearing on the case of lawyer Gurban Mammadov.
Lawyer Fakhraddin Mehdiyev told APA that witness Khanlar Bayramov gave testimony at the hearing. Mehdiyev said there were some contradictions in the testimony and it will be continued at the next hearing.
Then, a petition was raised to commute Mammadov’s imprisonment. The court rejected the petition.
The hearing will be continued on November 7.
Mammadov faced charged under article 263.1 (Infringement of traffic rules and operation of vehicles causing serious harm to health of a victim) of the Criminal Code.
Under the judgment of Nasimi District Court, Gurban Mamamdov has been sentenced to 2 months in prison.
