APA reports that the hearing presided over by judge Alisultan Osmanov was held behind the closed doors. The judgment was passed on the competition of the court investigation. The public prosecutor asked for time to address the court. Thus, the hearing was postponed to December 16.
Mirgadirov was detained in Turkey on 19 April 2014 and handed over to Azerbaijan, where he was charged with treason (Article 274). He was sentenced to three months’ pretrial detention. The term of his pretrial detention has been extended for several times since.
