Baku. Shahriyar Alizade – APA. The Baku Court of Appeals on Monday held a hearing on the appeal by deputy chairman of Azerbaijan Popular Front Party (APFP) Fuad Gahramanli.
The court rejected the appeal, lawyer Fakhraddin Mehdiyev told APA.
On Dec.8, Fuad Gahramanli was jailed for three months under the decision of Baku’s Nasimi district court. He faced charges under Article 281 ("Public appeals for violence directed against the state") and Article 283 ("Inciting national, racial or religious hatred") of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
Gahramanli then filed an appeal on the court decision and asked for the cancellation of pretrial detention.
