Some details revealed about Azerbaijani diplomat committing suicide in Istanbul - <span style="color: red;">UPDATED

Azerbaijan's Consulate General in Istanbul told APA that Aliyev was not engaged in diplomatic activities.

APA’s Turkey correspondent revealed that Aliyev, who committed suicide today, was the Azerbaijani businessman working in Turkey. He was the owner of “Farko” company.

Aliyev was also one of the founders of the Association of Businessmen of Azerbaijan in Turkey. The Association was founded in June, 2012.

Spokesman for Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Hikmet Hajiyev told APA that Fakhraddin Aliyev was not working in Foreign Ministry’s system.

Baku – APA. Diplomat Fakhreddin Aliyev, who was working at the Consulate General in Istanbul and Islamic Conference Youth Forum, committed suicide.

APA reports citing egazete.tv that the incident occurred in Sefakoy shooting range in Kucukcekmece, Istanbul.

Aliyev went to the shooting range with his driver. After firing at the target several times, the diplomat shot himself. He died on the spot. Kucukcekmece police office has launched an investigation to reveal the causes of suicide. His body was taken to the morgue of Istanbul Forensic Medicine Institute.
