The prosecutor general's office told APA that as a result of investigative actions, Fasad Mustafayev, who has been working as MSEC chairman since June 2015, has been caught red-handed in his office on Nov.23 by the Anti-Corruption Department employees while taking AZN 1,200 of previously agreed AZN 1,500 from a II group disabled man for the reexamination and determination of his type of disability for the confirmation of his disability
During the inspection, a number of documents were taken from him as material evidence.
A criminal case has been launched under Article 311.1 (taking bribe) of the Criminal Code and the offender has been put in pretrial detention.
Investigative actions are underway into the criminal case.
