The Azerbaijani Prosecutor General's Office has revealed that Swiss citizen Vartan Sirmakes, who is a co-founder and CEO of Franck Muller Group, with a group of people was engaged in illegal economic activity in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan to propagandize the illegal regime in these areas at the international level.  He illegally crossed the state border, as well as committed malevolent acts, calling into question the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan.

A criminal case was filed in the Investigation Department for Heinous Crimes of the Prosecutor General's Office under articles 318.2 (illegal crossing border of the Azerbaijan on preliminary arrangement by a group of persons), 281.2 (calls by a group persons regarding the destruction of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan) and 192.2.2 (illegal business for gaining income in the large size).

The Prosecutor General’s Office told APA that as there were enough grounds for prosecution, an international arrest warrant was issued for the Swiss citizen under the court decision dated 11 November 2015.

Interpol's National Central Bureau in Azerbaijan is carrying out necessary investigative and search operations for detaining Sirmakes.
