On-board technical major of the Aviation Unit of Emergency Situations Etibar Nazarov told APA the aforesaid.
Nazarov said that under the instruction of the chairman of the Aviation Unit, 4 helicopters and a plane are searching the missing oilmen everyday in the daytime.
"Search work is being continued on a large scale. A relevant permission has been got from the Caspian littoral states. Search of missing oil workers is underway beyond borders of Azerbaijan, namely Turkmenistan, Iran, Russia and Kazakhstan parts of the Caspian Sea”, said the mayor.
A strong fire took place at the platform No.10 of Azerbaijan’s offshore Gunashli field on Dec.4. 7 people died, 23 went missing as a result of the offshore platform fire. Vessels of MES, State Border Service, State Maritime Administration and "Caspian Sea Shipping Company" Closed Joint-Stock Company have been involved in search of missing ones.
