23 of them are citizens of Azerbaijan, 3 - Ghana, 2 – Iran, 2 – Nigeria, 2 - Tajikistan, 2 - Bangladesh, 2 - Pakistan, 2 - Liberia, 1 – Kazakhstan and 1 – Iraq.
Violating the border, 17 people in 6 cases in the green line and 50 people in 29 cases in the Caspian Sea were detained and taken relevant measures against.
In a series of countering crime actions, 388 people wanted by Azerbaijani law enforcement agencies were detained and handed over to concerned agencies.
As a result measures against illicit drug trafficking, over 2.4 kg of drugs were in 9 cases prevented from being smuggled through the state border.
As a result of measures taken in the fight against smuggling, a total of smuggled goods worth AZN 383,000 in 52 smuggling cases were seized. That includes AZN 18,540, USD 61,400, as well as 3 pistols, 2 rifles, 78 cartridges, one pneumatic gun, 6,920 pyrotechnical substances, 10,507 boxes of cigarettes, and a variety of medicines, food and industrial goods were detained.
Measures are underway to secure protection of the state border.
