Strong earthquake jolts Caspian Sea

An earthquake has struck the Caspian Sea, Earthquake Survey Center reported this, APA reports.

It was reported that the earthquake was recorded 94 km north of the Gusar station, in the territory of the Republic of Dagestan, at a depth of 64 km.

The earthquake, which occurred at 00:33 local time, is reported to have a magnitude of 5.4.

The earthquake was felt in many areas of Azerbaijan, including Baku and Sumgayit, as well as in regions such as Guba, Gusar, Khachmaz, Khudat, Khizi, Shabran, Khankendi, Agdam, Fuzuli, Ganja, Nabran, Oguz, with a magnitude of 3-4.
