Baku. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. A teacher of the closed Azerbaijan International University has been arrested, Binagadi District Police Office told APA.
According to information, Sakir Khalil Hashimov, who declared wanted under the Criminal Code’s article number 178 (swindle), has been today arrested.
The Police Office also said that Hashimov was a teacher of Azerbaijan International University. He is accused of misappropriating AZN 80,000 from a number of citizens under the pretext of recruiting their children to the university.
Hashimov, who was declared wanted 4 months ago, has been detained in Baku this morning.
