Baku – APA. Testimony of Semra Ozal, the spouse of 8th President of Turkey Turgut Ozal, on her husband’s death leaked to media. APA reports quoting Turkish NTV channel that in her testimony Semra Ozal said that she received a letter from an unknown person 15 years ago, which said that Turgut Ozal was killed and called the name of the murderer: “A man came to my house after my husband’s death and told the bodyguards that he urgently wanted to meet with me. At that time I was not home. When he was told about it, the man gave a note to the guards. The note said: “Turgut Ozal was killed. The murderer is in Azerbaijan. His name is Hasan Alioghlu.”
Semra Ozal said she acted soon after reading the letter, but failed to find a person named Hasan Alioghlu.
Semra Ozal also described the moment of president’s death. She said Turgut Ozal suddenly fell and white substance came out his mouth. Turgut Ozal was hospitalized, died there.
Turgut Ozal, who died on April 17, 1993, visited Azerbaijan two days earlier.
