According to information, the action began at 22.30 on January 23 and continues till present. As a reason of the protest, it is said that the hotel owner and his son’s used insulting words to Ismayilli residents.
Despite resistance from the police, the demonstrators managed to get into the hotel. They destroyed and burned the hotel rooms. At the moment, two-story hotel is burning. Protesters burned cars “Hummer”, “Chevrolet Aveo” and “Chevrolet Niva”, which belonged to the owners of the hotel. Police from Ismayilli and surrounding areas were attracted to the secene.
State Fire Service of Emergency Situations told APA that the venue attracted machinery and manpower of the State Fire Service. But protestants do not let them close to the hotel and so far, that the elimination of the fire is not possible.
