Judgment passed on former parliamentary candidate accused of killing businessman in Azerbaijan

APA reports that a judgment has been passed at the hearing. Under the judgment, Orujov has been sentenced to 14 years 6 months in prison.

Former parliamentary candidate Nadir Orujov shot to death his relative Rovshan Rustamov at Huseyn Seyidzadeh street, Nasimi district on June 8, 2011. Criminal case has been launched on the fact on articles 120.1 (premeditated murder) and 228.1 (illegal purchase, transfer, selling, storage, transportation or carrying of fire-arms) of the Criminal Code.

Nadir Orujov ran for the parliament in 2005 from Binagadi district and in 2010 from Nasimi district of Baku.
