According to the human rights activist, the appeal noted that the pardon decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of the Solidarity Day of the World Azerbaijanis and New Year has become a tradition: “We ask you to remain committed to this tradition and sign a pardon decree on the eve of the upcoming holidays.”
Gojamanli said that the letter also asked to commutate Nigar Yagublu’s imprisonment and release editor-in-chief of “Tolishi-sado” newspaper Hilal Mammadov, sick prisoners who served much part of their sentence and people, whose name were included the list released by the members of the Monitoring Group.
