APA reports quoting the website of the Ministry of Emergency Situations that Mercedes collided with truck in Khatai district. The relevant rescue forces of the ministry were sent to the site. During the rescue operation, it was known that the driver of the car died at the site and remained in the deformed car and a passenger of the car was injured and hospitalized. The rescuers pulled the driver’s body out of the car.
Khatai District Police Office told APA that deputy chief of the Metro Police Department of the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry, Lieutenant Colonel Mais Ahmedov died as a result of the accident.
City Clinical Hospital #3 told APA that 31-year injured Leyla Guliyeva died there.
The investigation is underway on the fact.
