According to the statement, a group of businessmen protesting against the extra payments imposed by Bina Trade Center administration attempted to close the part of Baku-Astara highway near the trade center, the traffic was paralyzed.
Ignoring the warning of the police the protesters showed resistance to the police and used force. 10 police officers were injured, several police vehicles damaged.
The law-enforcers deployed at the site prevented the actions that resulted in the violation of public order.
Baku Prosecutor's Office has launched a criminal case on articles 221.3 (hooliganism) and 315 (showing resistance to government representative or use of force) of the Criminal Code, investigation is underway.
