Hajiyev said the decision is related to the litigation between head of Baku Metro Tagi Ahmedov and the newspaper.
Head of Baku Metro Tagi Ahmedov sued the newspaper and demanded it to refute the article and pay AZN 200 000 compensation. Yasamal District Court sustained the appeal. The decision says that the newspaper should pay AZN 30 000 compensation to Tagi Ahmedov for moral damage and refute the article titled “Tagi Ahmedov embezzled 5 copecks”. As the decision had not been executed, the Court froze the bank account of the “Azadlig” newspaper.
