APA reports quoting Gruziya Online website that Georgian Defense Ministry said the soldier, who died in the explosion, is Mammad Guliyev. The statement says:
“An accident happened in Krtsanisi Training Center. Mammad Guliyev died while doing his service. At 12.00 while walking in the training ground Mammad Guliyev found a shell. According to initial reports, he wanted to dismantle the shell, explosion happened due to incautious behavior. Guliyev died on the spot. The officials and experts of the Armed Forces arrived at the site.”
The exact cause of Guliyev's death will be determined as a result of investigation. He served in the Georgian army for three months. Georgian Defense Ministry offered condolences to the soldier's family.
