APA reports that the hearing was presided by judge Ilham Karimov. Witnesses for prosecution Valiyulla Safaraliyev and Khanjan Rahimov, policemen Anar Abdullayev and Emin Akhundov gave testimonies. Nigar Yagublu’s lawyer Adil Ismayilov submitted to court the appeal signed by six parliamentarians. The appeal asked court to commute the imprisonment of Yagublu to home arrest. It was noted that the parliamentarians, who signed the appeal, will vouch for Yagublu’s presence in the hearing.
The judge said the petition will be discussed in the second half of the day.
Nigar Yagublu was detained on September 11. The court sentenced her to two months in jail over the traffic accident that killed member of Musavat Party Aydin Ajalov.
