Armenian media threatens Azerbaijani journalist with death

APA reports that “Golos Armenii” newspaper has published an article about Bahram Batiyev, correspondent of Vesti.az Information Agency under APA Holding.

The article is a response to the article written by Bahram Batiyev about the death of Vigen Surenovich Ayrapetyan, “public figure of Nagorno Karabakh, former secondary school teacher”.

V.Ayrapetyan was one of the leaders of separatist regime in Nagorno Karabakh region of Azerbaijan in 1980s. He chaired the session of the former Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast on unification of Nagorno Karabakh with Armenia in 1988.

Armenian journalists did not like some expressions used by Bahram Batiyev in the material about the death of Ayrapetyan, the newspaper reproached the Azerbaijani journalist rejoicing at this death and wrote: “All, including this fool will die one day. But it seems he will need to be punished prematurely.”
