APA reports quoting the Ministry’s website that 27 cases of explosion occurred in the Republic in 2012, it is down by one case or 4% compared to 2011. As a result of the explosions, 10 persons died and 26 were injured.
7629 visits were made to extinguish fire on various calls last year. As a result of the fires, 56 persons died and 86 were injured. Compared to 2011, the number of deaths is down by 10 persons (15%) and the number of the injured persons by 34 (28%).
7810 natural and man-made disasters were recorded in 2012. As a result of the disasters, 75 people died and 125 were injured. 147 people were saved and 26 evacuated by the ministry’s rescuers.
