A criminal case has been launched over the injury of a teacher at Idrak Lyceum in Baku, APA reports, citing the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
On February 6, a criminal case was initiated by the Binagadi District Prosecutor’s Office under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan following an incident in which a student opened fire with a firearm and injured a teacher at one of the schools located in Baku’s Binagadi district. The student suspected of committing the act has been detained by the prosecutor’s office.
At present, prosecutors are conducting an on-site inspection and carrying out the necessary procedural actions to clarify the circumstances and causes of the incident.
The injured person was provided with timely first medical aid and has been hospitalized, where treatment is being administered by the relevant medical institution.
