During an operation conducted by the employees of the Main Drug Enforcement Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Jalilabad district, a 50-year-old resident of Jalilabad district, Elshan Shammadov, was detained, the Press Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told APA.
It was reported that 30 kg of marijuana with harmful substances added to its composition was found in his possession.
Despite using various means to evade criminal liability, Elshan Shammadov has been identified as one of the main persons involved in organizing the trafficking of narcotic substances within the country through his cooperation with Iranian citizens at different times.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the fact. A preventive measure of arrest was chosen for the detained person by the court's decision.
