Azerbaijan has extradited a person who was internationally wanted in Türkiye for robbery, the Press Service of the Prosecutor General's Office told APA.
It was noted that international cooperation in the field of combating crime is successfully ongoing. The request of the competent authorities of the Republic of Türkiye for the extradition of Kazan Anıl İbrahim, a citizen of that country, born in 1994, who was found guilty of committing the criminal act of robbery and was put on the international wanted list by the competent authorities of the Republic of Türkiye, was sent by the Prosecutor General's Office to the Baku Court on Grave Crimes for consideration.
Kazan Anıl was identified in Azerbaijan, and a preventive measure of arrest was chosen for him.
In accordance with the European Convention on Extradition dated December 13, 1957, a decision was made regarding Kazan Anıl, and he was extradited to the competent authorities of the Republic of Türkiye, accompanied by a special convoy of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice.
