U.S. President Donald Trump said the United States possesses large stockpiles of munitions and is rapidly expanding domestic weapons production, while warning that individuals responsible for leaking what he described as "treasonous statements" would face criminal prosecution, APA reports.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump said the U.S. has "massive amounts of munitions," particularly of certain types, and added that additional supplies are being manufactured and delivered as needed.
He also claimed that U.S. defense companies are constructing "the largest number of plants and factories in our country's history" to boost military production.
Trump further stated that authorities are pursuing those responsible for leaking what he called "treasonous statements."
"The 'leakers' of these treasonous statements are being hunted down. Long term jail sentences will be sought!" Trump wrote.
