During July 2026, the State Border Service detained 26 individuals for violating the state border, the Press Center of the State Border Service told APA.
The detainees included 7 citizens of Azerbaijan, 8 of Afghanistan, 4 of Pakistan, 3 of Iran, 1 of Türkiye, 1 of Lebanon (a person with refugee status), 1 of the Russian Federation, and 1 of Nigeria.
As a result of measures to combat illegal migration, 9 individuals attempting to cross the state border using forged date stamps and passports or documents belonging to other persons were detained.
A total of 44 individuals were detained for violating border regime rules, and appropriate measures were taken against them.
As part of efforts to combat crime, 330 individuals wanted by law enforcement agencies were detained and handed over to the relevant authorities. In addition, 797 individuals banned from leaving the country were prevented from doing so, while 31 individuals prohibited from entering the country were denied entry.
As a result of measures to combat the illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs, 105 kilograms and 793 grams of narcotic substances, 64 liters of narcotic solution, and 3,309 tablets of various compositions were seized from circulation, including 330 grams of narcotic substances and 790 psychotropic tablets transported by an unmanned aerial vehicle in one case.
