Western countries have provided Ukraine with nearly $200 billion in direct budget financing since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion, Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine Andriy Pyshnyi wrote on a social media post, APA reports.
According to him, "this is an enormous amount."
The governor of the National Bank of Ukraine said international financial assistance has enabled the country to maintain the stability of the state budget and finance social payments and other priority expenditures.
He added that in Western countries, the need to finance Ukraine is now increasingly linked to ensuring Europe's security.
