Republic Prosecutorâ€™s Office states on accident in building of Neapol hotel

Workers Mammadov Rafig and Abduallyev Rauf died, while Sharifov Sardar, Mammadov Rasim, Aliyev Vusal and Bayramov Gvadim were injured, prosecutorâ€™s office told the APA.
Representatives of Emergencies Ministry, Labour and Social Protection of Population, colleagues of Prosecutorâ€™s office were at the site, they investigated the fact with the presence of the experts and took urgent measures to eliminate the results of the accident. The criminal case under article 222.2 was launched on the fact.
Absheron district Executive Power allowed individual body Ahmadov Shukur to build two-storey shopping center in that place but only of he would agree estimate document with corresponding bodies , and conduct construction according to the relevant laws and normative paperwork of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Bur Mr. Ahmadov violated the requirements and did not agree draft project of the shopping center with Emergencies Ministry and did not provide special protective stuffs to the workers and did not sign employments contract with them.
The owner of the establishment Shukur Ahmedov, who as responsible for the financing of the construction and ensuring safety rules during the works and general engineer of Shen LLC company Aliyev Shamil violated existing norms and laws rudely, wooden and metal posts were not in right size, proper technology was not observed and it was carried out one-sided, therefore the construction collapsed which led to two deaths and one injury as a result of the accident.
The investigations show that Shukur Ahmedov was registered as a founder of Shen LLC and Neapol hotel operated under that organization. Shukur Ahmedov and Shamil Aliyev face charges under article 222.2 of Criminal Code for violating safety rules in construction and causing death and injury.
Absheron Court arrested them. The injured, witnesses were interrogated, forensic medical and forensic-construction examinations will be conducted. The investigation of the criminal case continues at present. /APA/
